The three - loop β function in SU ( N ) lattice gauge theories
The three-loop β function in SU(N) lattice gauge theories Abstract We calculate the third coefficient of the lattice β function in pure Yang-Mills theory. We make use of a computer code for solving perturbation theory analytically on the lattice. We compute the divergent integrals by using a method based on a Taylor expansion of the integrand in powers of the external momenta in 4 − ǫ dimension...
متن کاملN = 1 supersymmetry and the three loop gauge β - function
We calculate the three loop gauge β-function for an abelian N = 1 supersymmetric gauge theory, using DRED. We construct a coupling constant redefinition that relates the result to the corresponding term in the NSVZ β-function, and by generalising this redefinition to the non-abelian case we derive the DRED three loop gauge β-function for the non-abelian case.
متن کاملLoop Approach to Lattice Gauge Theories
We solve the Gauss law and the corresponding Mandelstam constraints in the loop Hilbert space HL using the prepotential formulation of (d+1) dimensional SU(2) lattice gauge theory. The resulting orthonormal and complete loop basis, explicitly constructed in terms of the d(2d − 1) prepotential intertwining operators, is used to transcribe the gauge dynamics directly in HL without any redundant g...
متن کاملFlux tubes in three-dimensional lattice gauge theories.
Measurements of flux-tubes generated by sources in different representations of SU(2) and U(1) lattice gauge theory in three dimensions are reported. Heavy “quarks” are considered in three representations of SU(2): fundamental (j = 1/2), adjoint (j = 1), and quartet (j = 3/2). Wilson loops are used to introduce a static quark-antiquark (QjQj) pair. Several attributes of the fields generated by ...
متن کاملLattice Chiral Gauge Theories
I review the substantial progress which has been made recently with the non-perturbative construction of chiral gauge theories on the lattice. In particular, I discuss three different approaches: a gauge invariant method using fermions which satisfy the Ginsparg–Wilson relation, and two gauge non-invariant methods, one using different cutoffs for the fermions and the gauge fields, and one using...
